Today was magical. I walked with my family and another family that included a baby in a carriage. We had the unbelievable opportunity to meet the Cardinal from the Phillipines who was also walking the Camino. He gave us - and many other pilgrims - his time for pictures and reflections. His humility and humanity brought me to tears.
Arriving in Santiago, surrounded by pilgrims with the full range of emotion, was deeply humbling. I had walked only the last 115 kilometers while others had been walking the entire St Francis Camino, and undertaking of over 30 to 40 days. I can only imagine their emotion based on mine after only 8 days.
