For those unfamiliar with MSC Cruises, I am a convert and highly recommend this line. And this particular transatlantic cruise is unique with stops not found in the "normal" Barcelona to Miami TA: unusual TA stops include Casablanca, Las Palmas, Marseille, Boston, and New York City, with final stop in Miami.
So why do I recommend MSC cruises?
First, it is an Italian line and - if you love Italian food - you will be delighted by the food. Some folks have complained, but on the few voyages I have taken on this line, I had no food complaints. Only kudos.
Second, I like the international flair when sailing European focused cruises. This is not everyone's cup of tea, but for those who don't mind multi-languages and cultures, coupled with incredible evening entertainment (Did they get these singers and dancers from the West End in London?!), MSC is a great choice for European cruises or cruises starting in Europe.
Third, a few years ago MSC cruises "broke into" the US market sailing originally from Port Canaveral. Their sailings met with mixed reviews. Since that time, MSC has modified US sailings to reflect the US market and have done a great job. Unfortunately, their prices now reflect the higher demand.
Fourth, although not quite the deal they used to be, MSC cruises are priced competitively. Sadly, the days of rock bottom US pricing are over. Nonetheless, MSC cruises are priced below the competition from lines of comparable cruise lines.
We will be posting videos on various social media platforms if you are interested in learning and seeing more about MSC cruises and the Meraviglia in particular. Below is a video from one traveler - ours will be different. Stay tuned.
